Q: Impact of the dfk proposal 14

The DFK team posted an announcement related to trading locked Jewel token that refers to a new proposal that includes the following:

This new functionality would also enable us to prevent after-market wrapped locked JEWEL trading, ensuring the Tokenomics of the project remain intact.

My question is if this will break the functionality of the wlJewel contract included in this repo.
If proposal 14 gets accepted (and it will), does this mean that wlJewel holders will lose the ability to redeem unlocked tokens in the future?

I obviously hope not but wanted to put the question out here to see if we can protect people who already minted their locked Jewel into wlJewel.
