withr::with_envvar() will set environmental variables, which could be accessed by both R and system.

preproc-mri/R/workflows.R

Lines 85 to 88 in c8c480a

withr::with_environment(
rlang::as_environment(argv[-1]),
rlang::exec(paste0("commit_", context), jobs)
)
