The current General section of the General tab is somewhat confused:

Suggested reoganisation in to distinct topics:

Localisation

Language: [ drop down ]
(o) Display speed limits in MPH
Icon theme: [ drop down ]

Interface

(o) Use UnifiedUI
(o) Lock menu button position
(o) Lock toolbar position
Interface scale: [ slider ]
Window transparency: [ slider ]
Overlay transparency: [ slider ]
(o) Enable Tutorial Messages

Simulation

Accuracy: [ drop down ]
(o) Recalculate existing vehicle paths

Compatibility

(o) Scan for known incompatible mods on startup
     (o) Ignore disabled mods
(o) Notify me if there is an unexpected mod conflict
