The "open literature" link in this document is broken.

Am curious where it points to!

The link works fine for me if I download the PDF. It points to:

Thank you, at least I can read the paper now!

I tested again. On OSX, the link doesn't work in Preview.app (it dislikes the # and URL encodes it - maybe) but does work in Acrobat Reader.

I had the same problem.
https://journals.plos.org/plosone/article?id=10.1371/journal.pone.0100915
would have worked on OSX as well
