Opening the label edit UI can scroll the page and move the viewport

When starting to edit a label and the label edit UI opens to the right of the page it scrolls the page to the right to make it visible.
This looks like this:

Because scrolling is normally disabled you cannot scroll back and part of the viewport is not visible and the rest is at the wrong position.
