I have tried this on mkv, mp4, jpg, pdf.
I has worked fine for pdf as it had no existing handler. But when I make changes to tags fo mkv, mp4( mf hanlder) and jpg(I property handler) it extends the existing handler but make no changes to details tab in properties. I have also tried deleting the existing handler of mkv through registry editor and then adding file meta handler but it didn't work. Also the the default property tags it shows for mkv, mp4 are not exactly same as in windows explorer properties details.
Please help.......

I have had reports before that the File Meta property handler is not used when working with .MKV and .mp4 files. This started in more recent versions of Windows, in which Microsoft has shipped a much improved property handler of their own, which now stores a wide range of properties in these files. Explorer seems to do something different for these files, which prevents File Meta from chaining in its own property handler. I had not heard that .jpg files were also affected.
It seems as though it is time for me to investigate this more thoroughly. I'll have a good poke around and report back.
I have now investigated what is going on here. The results are described here. My results are consistent with yours, except that I had no problems with .jpg files, which worked entirely as expected. For the other files, the results include a description of what you can expect for now, and what File Meta is doing next.
