Same as the other release except its pointing at the 1.18 branch.
Here for convenience:
Hey,
as of this release subregions are synchronized between clients.
Also the owner and the person that last modified the syncmatic are displayed.
Lastly there is a bugfix for people behind velocity proxies.
Use 1.16.5-0.3.0 for Minecraft 1.16 to 1.17
Use 1.18.1-0.3.0 for Minecraft 1.18

This fixes incompatability with 1.18
Not sure how to handle releases going forwards as this makes the 1.16 version inherently incompatible with the 1.18 version.
They use different Java Versions etc.

I did this in a relatively short timeframe so if you have issues feel free to mention them.

QOL

This release brings a minor Quality of Life change to syncmatica - server placements are now sorted by how far away you are from them.

I also want to announce that Im going to work on some bigger changes on the mod in the background so this will probably be the last minor update for a long time.
If there is anything minor that is bugging you about this version of syncmatica feel free to comment here or on my Discord.

The next major release will include:

  • Ownership (save who acted upon server placements and who originally shared them)
  • Archive (instead of deleting server placements collect them in a structured archive - from where they then can be permanently deleted)
  • Subregion Sharing (right now subregions aren't synchronized between the actors this update would change that)
  • Configuration (configure server and client settings from within a GUI)

Hey it just so happens that syncmatica is already compatible with Minecraft 1.17
I kind of wanted to make an announcement for that but the only way to do this is via a release.
So I took the debug functionality I recently made polished it and it's now a new feature.

This release adds a debug feature. You can now enable and disable packageLogging.
Package logging allows anyone who reads the logs see what kind of packets are received and send by the server/client.
By default this is now disabled but can be changed via the configuration.
This also fixes a bug where the configuration file was not properly created on some environments.

I reccomend updating to this release due to the fixed bugs.

Debug Release

Debug release.

This just adds 2 types of debug messages that allows me or anyone that wishes to to look into syncmaticas communication.
Clients and servers will log which packets they send/receive and where they send them to.

You only need to update if you wish to debug something otherwise this release just adds new information to the readme and fixes a stray semicolon.

Eventually in the next few releases I will make debug mode a configurable thing but for now just building it like this should be enough for me to help most people making bug reports.

Snapshot Release

With this release I removed the limitations on the minecraft version you can use.
So far I have tested functionality for 21w18a for functionality but it probably runs on more things.
Other than that there should be no real additions.

Some people wished for a minor upgrade in server security.
Here it is.
You dont really need to upate your client but you can if you want to.
This is more of a server update.
Unless the quota security feature is something you are interested in you don't need to update to this release.
For more information as always see the README.

With this release it is now possible to modify placements on the server from the client.
Check the readme for more information.

I reccomend updating to this version as soon as possible as it fixes a few annoying bugs.
Versions 1.2 and 1.1 might be compatible both client and server wise but they do not feature the full featureset.

This release focuses on making client interactions as convenient as possible.
It doesn't change the server. You only need to update your client in this version.
