What are you trying to achieve?

Swipe left/right on message to reply in thread or delete message.

If possible, how can you achieve this currently?

Not sure if possible, maybe could be done with custom ChatMessageListVC or ChatMessageListView.

What would be the better way?

Through API event or simple option to enable/disable.

This feature is currently missing from the iOS UIKit SDK. It is currently in the Backlog, and unfortunately, we don't have yet an ETA on when this will be worked on. We will keep you posted about this.
