kubewebhook is outdated

I'm running Berglas as a mutating webhook in a Kubernetes cluster. I followed the instructions at https://github.com/GoogleCloudPlatform/berglas/tree/main/examples/kubernetes

But I'm getting this erorr:

Internal error occurred: failed calling webhook "berglas-webhook.cloud.google.com":
expected webhook response of admission.k8s.io/v1, Kind=AdmissionReview, got
/, Kind=

(I see it in my deployment status)

After checking the source code of the Go app, I saw that it uses kubewebhook, which hadn't supported v1 AdmissionReview until recently:
