Unable to connect to S3 Endpoints using a self signed certificate

Describe the solution you'd like
possibility to add a custom ca certificate to the connection object

Describe alternatives you've considered
I unsuccessfully tried to add my certificate to the trust store in my container image aswell as setting AWS_CA_BUNDLE environment variable
