GREI

• Task 1: Work with the Program Team to establish a consistent set of cross-GREI metrics for NIH-funded data in GREI repositories.
• Task 2: Implement DataCite usage tracker widget across repositories.
• Task 3: Explore utilizing DataCite services for offering GREI dashboard.
• Task 4: Implement [FAIR Signposting] (https://signposting.org/FAIR/) in GREI repositories.

  • Collaborate with other repositories to follow Make Data Count recommendations [was Aim 1.5.2]
  • Implement DataCite usage tracker widget across repositories.

• Completion: 27%
• During this quarter, Make Data Count was operationalized for the Harvard Dataverse Repository and improvements were made to viewing of counts. Log processing of years of data is expected to take months. The MDC UI widget will be implemented following the Dataverse SPA. In addition Julian Gautier established a regular routine to collect monthly metrics about NIH-sponsored datasets in Harvard Dataverse and Harvard Dataverse datasets have been indexed in the NIH's Dataset Catalog since the catalog launched in February 2024.

• Completion: 25%*
  • Note: A new task was added in August 2024 that changed its overall completeness
• During GREI Q2, categories and counts were added to the "Harvard Dataverse" tab of the Top Biomedical Research Categories in the GREI Repository Holdings spreadsheet. Categories with fewer than 10 datasets/holdings were not added to the Top Biomedical Research Categories in the GREI Repository Holdings spreadsheet.
• An additional task was identified for the Dataverse Make Data Count backend implementation. Once development on the single page application (SPA) rearchitecture is far enough along, the MDC user interface widget implementation will begin (see tasks enumerated here: Epic: GREI Implement Make Data Count (MDC) #196).
• To date, there are 308 NIH-funded items in Harvard Dataverse totaling 3.42TB, with 963,659 downloads and 28 citations.
