BeNext - Door/Window Sensor

Hello,

I have moved from BeNext to Homey and so far more dan satisfied. I have seen that the external contact of the Door/Window sensor is called ‘Water Alarm’. May I suggest to rename this to ‘External Contact’ as this contact is a generic input for an exteral potential-free switch. Either be a simple push button e.g. used for a simple doorbel (as I use it) or a specific switch e.g. a water sensor. In addition the appropriate icon should be changed as well!
An alternative solution, I guess more complicated to implement, would be an editable text!

I'm new to Homey and wondering if the door/window sensor is still working without the BeNext app working within Homey v2. So is it worth to put effort in trying to add the door/window sensor to my Homey environment or better waiting till the BeNext app works again (if it ever gets working since the last update is a year ago).

Hello Jacco,

I am still running on the 'old' version of Homey i.e. I have not yet migrated to v2! I have several products from BeNext integrated (migrated) to Homey. One of them being the Door/Window sensor. All of them work perfectly on my Homey, including the Door/Window sensor.
I intend to migrate in the upcoming days to v2 and than know whether the BeNext Products still work.

P.s. The only intention for the post was to hopefully get support, and at least feedback from the developer on a change request regards the naming of the 'Water Alarm' being actually a generic external contact! However without success untill now (a shame).

Thank you for your quick response! Please let me know if it works. But since I'm not be able to add the app into my homey environment, our situation is not simmilar. Your products are already available in your environment. But probably you won't be able to manage them anymore via the BeNext app. So it's a little tricky for you i guess….
