ResourceList does not instantiate item_type with a name #33

The following error is thrown when defining a ResourceList with a specific uninstantiated item_type, due to a missing name attribute.

AttributeError: 'xxx' object has no attribute 'name'

Additionally, we discussed renaming name to _name
