Feature Summary:

Release P3RFix as a Reloaded mod as it is the mod loader the community is using for the game.

Is your proposal related to a problem?

Currently a user has to manually install this by putting files in their game's folder, it would be a better experience if they could just install the mod in Reloaded as they would for other mods.

Describe the solution you'd like

Have a look at Reloaded's documentation for native mods to see how you could package this as a Reloaded mod. Then, ideally post it on GameBanana as well to make it easier for users to find it.

If you are willing you could also convert this to a Reloaded code mod although that would obviously be more work. The main benefit of that would be that you could use Reloaded's mod configuration system instead of requiring users to edit an ini file.

Describe alternatives you've considered

No really an alternative (I kinda want to do this regardless of whether you convert this mod) but I plan on adding the intro skip part of P3RFix to P3R Essentials. It's a feature that was in Persona Essentials (the "mod loader" used by the other PC Persona games) so it'd be nice if it was a part of P3R Essentials as well.

Please keep the UAL method if possible (if this goes through). Trying to use Reloaded II on the Gamepass version is a massive PITA (couldn't even make it work with the dumped version)

Also, honest personal opinion: not everything has to be a part of Reloaded II. It immediately breaks compatibility with the MSStore version (which, to note, is the way a huge chunk of people are playing because 70$ for a remake is bullshit) and Linux. Also it can be on GameBanana without anything Reloaded 2 related.

Sorry for the late reply here. I probably wouldn't be up for converting this to a Reloaded II mod. I would however be open to adding compatibility for it. I'm not all that keen on anything that isn't a drag+drop style solution hence the use of Ultimate ASI Loader. Getting something like Reloaded II working on the Steam Deck or Gamepass games can also sometimes be a hassle and I'd like to reduce friction as much as possible.

I'm also not sure about uploading the mod on somewhere like Gamebanana or NexusMods. I don't want to split up feedback over there and the GitHub repo for example. I'm already bad enough at checking the Issues page!

Anyway all of that to say, I'd be open to making it compatible with Reloaded II or adding some instructions to make it compatible and I'm glad you found the intro skip useful!

@Lyall to not forget to check the issues page, set Watching on github to Issues and Pull Requests - you'll get notifications on e-mail that way

I would like to add this to here, that if I try to use Reloaded II and P3RFix together, the game will not boot (just stuck in launching through steam). It seems that they do not play well with each other. Something to do with "dsound.ini" file this includes that Reloaded II probably doesn't like.

Making this compatible with Reloaded II is a great idea.

@firelad97 I've been able to get them both to work fine on both Windows and Steam Deck, I made a PR to add instructions to the readme file (#21), do those instructions work for you?

@SupDos Thank you, putting P3RFix files in the scripts folder worked. Them being next to the game executable file does not work. (without the DLL file, of course)
