From the APT: SoW planning FY22 document the following features need to be added to the journal PDF documents:

  • Abstract must be limited to 251 words or less

  • A dedicated title page. Must include:

    • Title
    • Authors w/ affiliations
    • 3 key points of the research
  • Data and software

    • Availability statement
    • Citation information
    • Where readers can access the data and software

Is this a "Data and Software" section in the ATBD, with "Availability statement", "Citation information" as sub-sections? Is the citation information the same as the paper's citation information? Do the 2 subfields occur just once in each document, or do they need to be handled as an array of entries (like the Data Access Input Variables)

  • Plain language summary

  • Plain Language Summary (Add)
  • Availability Statements (Review help) [UPDATE: confirmed implemented in both frontend and PDF]

ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS

  • List of acknowledgements (Review help)

PUBLICATION CHECKLIST (Add)

  • Potential Reviewers
    • Name and email of potential reviewers (Simple field, in the future could come from contacts)
  • 3 key points for title page
    • Textarea
  • Corresponding Author
    • Author name (Simple field, in the future could come from contacts)
  • Review Author Roles
    • Prompt the user to go and check that the contacts are all correct (Confirm approach)
  • Paper Length Check Details
  • Requested Journal Editor
    • Simple field with a default value
  • Primary Author Affirmations
    • Like terms and conditions that authors must agree to (Confirm approach)

Changes to the PDF

  • Separate Title page (to confirm if only for Journal PDF or both):
    • Title
    • Authors w/ affiliations
    • "3 key points for title page" to be added to the title page
  • "Plain Language Summary" Confirm where to place this
  • Data Availability Statements [UPDATE: implemented in frontend, needs to be implemented in PDF]
    • Confirm if citation is necessary
    • Confirm correct format for citation

  • Acknowledgements is already implemented as a Journal field in the front end, and added to the PDF, so I think that's good to go
