Dr Zefeng Chen asked me about the NorESM2-LM deforestation experiment as entered below. I do not know who has done this experiment so I hope that I can get help in answering the question.

My research field is mainly on the impact of environmental changes on terrestrial carbon-water coupling, and recently, I have been focusing on the impact from anthropogenic land use activity. To this end, I attempt to use model outputs from deforest-globe and piControl experiments of CMIP6 project to reach my research objective. NorESM2-LM participates in these two experiments at the same time, and thus is selected to apply in my study. To isolate the impact of deforestation, the first 30 years for variables from the piControl simulation after branching off the deforest-globe simulation were generally used as a reference period, as mentioned in previous studies (https://doi.org/10.5194/bg-17-5615-2020; https://doi.org/10.1175/JCLI-D-21-0689.1). Therefore, the branching year of piControl simulation for each model ought be be clarified. Following previous studies mentioned above, I have already clarified the specific branching year for most models, except for NorESM2-LM.

Hi! As far as I can tell, these simulations were performed by @lca041. Hanna Lee might also have some information about this, since she is the contact person for the LUMIP contributions from NorESM2.
