right now we use a google form, but it'd be nice to have a "Call for speakers" page where it talks about the benefits of giving a talk

It will sort of be like a blog post, with a CTA(call to action) form at the bottom

right now we just use a google form link sent out to speakers (nobody ever fills it out though)

https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1ftQCXv1dMdDbTcQwLaVq5G2-SIPbVD9j1XCn66l6fCA/edit?usp=drive_web

By sending a link to the speaker page, or having it publically accessible, this makes it easier for potential speakers to add their content on a form

e.g.

  • talk title
  • talk description
  • speaker bio

lots of ways to implement this though... open to suggestions

Probably the URL will be

/speaker

But open to ideas too

For the benefits / CTA before the form, have sometihng like this maybe?

  1. Speak for TampaDevs! -> showcase former speakers
  2. The benefits you get out of it -> testimony from speakers who got jobs, Haritha, Vincent, etc
  3. we update professional photos for you
  4. Get your name out there
  5. We post you on social media
  6. You find jobs easier
  7. More connections
  8. That kinda thing

Sidenote: Add a screenshot of a past meetup description, and a link to it as an example
