FPS / Framerate

• I have searched for my issue and it does not already exist

Device codename: guacamole
TWRP version: 3.4.0-0

WHAT STEPS WILL REPRODUCE THE PROBLEM?

Slide to unlock, slide to flash, scrolling, etc

WHAT IS THE EXPECTED RESULT?

High framerate (60 Hz, 90 Hz)

WHAT HAPPENS INSTEAD?

Low framerate, feels like 30 or even 24

This phone has a 90 Hz display

This is probably intended to save power or CPU because TWRP is not super efficient. But is it possible to enable a higher framerate somehow? At the time being it seems only custom builds would be able to, but is it possible to add an official setting?

I've experienced a very fluent display on some devices but a rather low-framerate one on some other devices. I don't know what causes this but I'd not assume there to be a simple fix like adding an according setting.
