I'm assuming you want a system to EDIT bots as well as adding bots?

@7coil 7coil changed the title Make the website handle the bot's editing of information like carbonitex or discord bots Add an "Edit" screen, to edit existing bots Sep 8, 2018

This may take longer than intended

  • Need to be able to edit
    • If the HEAD is too far back, there could be conflicts
    • If the HEAD is reset every time, progress is lost
  • Current JS is crap

Alright. You will need to make it so that there is a create page too. The thing is why this is good is because so you don't have to worry about dumb people making mistakes and etc.... it's easy for both parties.

It shouldn't be pushed to GitHub.

The entire point of this website is for stuff to be pushed to GitHub

I don't like the idea of it because if someone messes up and you don't notice then yeah,....

The functionality requested can be emulated by saving via commits to a pull request

The current edit system only supports bots only, and may need an overhaul

Netlify CMS does not support creating pull requests without being a contributor to a repository. However, inspiration can be taken to create a general CMS system which supports many types of categories (could split into another project)

speaking of overhauls, docs.microsoft.com may be of inspiration for accepting feedback for bots, as it uses GitHub for documentation issues.

netlify as a backend could consolidate this information to generate a rating in the future
