A place on the repo where I can keep track of feedback from outside sources.

  • MPD discord user - 5/14/2024: "2gb is impressive!" (Feedback regarding pack performance with lower RAM requirements)
  • MPD discord user - 5/14/2024: "you left cheat mode enabled!!" (addressed in 1.0.1)
  • Private discord user - 5/14/2024: "runs smooth and pretty on the first few nights" (Specifically mentioned advancement plaques as being an example of the pack being pretty)
  • Private discord DM - 5/14/2024: "Should I put in issues regarding any kind of clipping with text or the sort if I run into it or is that do ya think too small of an issue" (Currently unsure what clipping they're referring to. Awaiting further details. Edit: this became issue 2)

  • friend of a friend 5/21/2024 "initial thoughts, pretty good. I thought it was pretty much just minecraft but with a lot of tweaks to it that enhance the experience making it a little easier or a little more immersive, it's very cozy in its playstyle. I'm gonna stop playing rn just cause ever since the newer updates to Minecraft, I play at like 60 fps but the game still stutters and jitters to no fault of the modpack, this happens in vanilla too which is actually the main reason I stopped playing minecraft that I had entirely forgot before I got back into it. Still need to find a definite fix to that problem before I decide to play any further cause it is just so annoying to deal with" (overall positive feedback, though perhaps I should consider whether the pack is too much like vanilla. The performance issues are disappointing, but since they're reported in vanilla as well, it's probably nothing wrong with the pack itself.

  • Private Discord DM - 5/26/2024:

"Also heads up I've played some more of the modpack recently and I haven't ran into any other issues it seems pretty good polishwise I'm up to diamond (but not diamond pickaxe) for an understanding of how far into it I've gotten Good job on it"

"I quite enjoy the tree chopping, the general exploration has been fun with the added structures and different mobs"

"There was one quirk I noticed but am unsure of from last time I played that theoretically would not be good, and wanted to ask about As I was building my permanent home, I planted a lot of trees around my home and since I've done the same again. I've noticed these little bits of 1 piece of wood in the ground around them with leaves on top and around them is that generated by those trees growing? And do trees grow exponentially to a point if you allow them to continue and not break them down right after they grow for the first time?"

"Besides that odd quirk that's been happening I've quite enjoyed myself I'm particularly fond of a lot of the QoL changes like how I wasn't forced to deal with that debuff when you kill a patrol of illagers, instead it was given to me in potion form. I like that a lot, I used to enjoy farming raids for fun and it was very annoying to go find illager patrols to trigger that. So now it's nice to be able to hoard potions of that if I want instead of running to do it as soon as I naturally come upon a raider group"

"So I am a sort of nomadic player in minecraft, I usually explore a lot before putting down a permanent base, and even then I rarely come back unless I am full up and have to It might be I haven't ran into anything to help with this yet, but perhaps some kind of feature/mod that allows you to gain more inventory whether a backpack mod, a psuedomod for bundles, or whatever you choose to allow you options in the early/earlymidgame part so that you aren't forced to continually make temp bases to store things I dealt with it partially through using a donkey, but it was more of a stopgap then a proper solution. oh speaking of if you haven't incorporating the option to pull saddles and chests off of creatures like pigs, horses, donkeys, etc. would be a really nice QoL change too"

"Also something I never knew I needed until this modpack diagonal fences Very good I love it"

"Uhhh, I think in terms of suggestions I only really have one more and am unsure if it's feasible. I noticed while building my home I really wanted to incorporate stairs into the windows while having glass panes within those same blocks so if there is a mod to allow glass panes to be "waterlogged" into stairs and other partially unfilled blocks. that'd be amazing"

"Oh! I might have missed something that did this too like the storage thing but if you haven't, an option in the early/earlymidgame to provide light without having to spam craft torches is a nice idea too. My initial thought was to steal the lamp back pieces from terraria lol. I have always liked that idea in Minecraft, Sacrificing some defense for utility"
