Laser Satellite doesn't fire at moving targets #4010

When using a laser satellite to fire on a moving enemy unit, nothing happens but it still uses up the charge. The laser satellite only fires if the unit stands still.

  1. Start skirmish game
  2. Create a laser satellite
  3. Fire on a stationary unit
  4. It works
  5. Fire on a moving unit
  6. Nothing happens

Expected behavior

Laser satellite fires on the original position (where you clicked)

System

  • Windows 11
  • 4.4.2

That is really annoying, one of three things should happen (IMO):

  • Unable to select moving targets
  • Refund the charge, if not fired
  • Track the moving target and destroy

Then you should keep moving if the enemy have a laser satellite.
