support for combining pledges to make a group #2997
Comments
This isn't a financially good ideal you're basically Getting a higher tier from just paying for a lower tier |
We'd have to discuss this internally, but even right I'm not sure if we'd really do this, since there are two big problems I can already see:
It might be best to really pool your resources instead. |
well i was thinking about this because of support for stripe payments. even if it was just for a group then that would have been fine. |
because what i was thinking of was that people more so pooled the tier instead just to get group's then everything else could be gained based on what the user had but only for them like how they are now. it was more so that people could combine just for a group and nothing else . |
If your end-goal / desire is just wanting to purchase a group- I imagine that would be something we could possibly explore in the form of "perk add-ons" e.g. creation of additional groups, etc. But as Frooxius also mentioned above- that'd be something we'd need to discuss internally to decide what makes sense to offer on our end. |
Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
with resonite's Patreon tier's, say 2 or more people buy the $10 tier, you cannot merge them or combine them to get higher tier's based on how much your paying.
Describe the solution you'd like
support for combining pledges to upgrade a "merged" account or somethign to get higher tier's from the people who are paying. say 2 or more people spend enough to get a 10$ or even the 50$ tier, if they wanted to combine it, they could get the 60$ tier.
Describe alternatives you've considered
pretty much just giving the money to the other person for it.
