consider escape characters

I appreciate your plugin very much, thank you!

In my work, I often need to have links on local files, that contain special characters in their filename like #, (, ), ...

Would it be possible to integrate a feature into your code, that allows to replace these special characters with their escape characters (escape characters see here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Percent-encoding).
