Ink ripples always originate in center of button, not from where user touches..

Still nice, but the Polymer project has better ink ripples IMHO. they radiate from where the user touches and not just from the center of the button. Curious is this is works-as-designed for ngMaterial? Or if not are there plans to make it more like Polymer paper?

Update.. I notice that on the demos the ink-spots are perfect, it only seems to originate in the center for my app on my device. any idea why that would be?

Which device are you using? And is there a demo where I can see this happening?
