Summary

After changing the name of a server, two public entries appear on https://ubuntu.com/certified/ for a single server. Here is an example for the ProLiant ML110 Gen11(Intel Sapphire Rapids CPU).

Example with ProLiant 110 Gen 11
https://ubuntu.com/certified/servers?q=ML110+Gen11&limit=20&category=Server&release=22.04+LTS

Both ProLiant ML110 Gen11 and ProLiant ML110 Gen11(Intel Sapphire Rapids CPU) point to the same public listing (https://ubuntu.com/certified/202305-31570).

This is the private HPE bug filed:
https://bugs.launchpad.net/hp/+bug/2064541

[Please describe the issue.]

Steps to reproduce the behavior

When HPE has changed the name of a certification, the prior entry is automatically saved under "Additional Names" under configuration and "Aliases" under platform automatically. HPE does not see the option to remove aliases. The additional listings are only removed after deleting Additional Names and Aliases.

Expected behavior

When changing the name of a certification, the previous name should not be automatically saved under Additional Names and Aliases. If a name is intentionally saved, the user should be able to remove it from the Alias field under configuration.

I am able to see both Additional Names and Aliases and delete the unwanted names, but HPE is not.

[A clear and concise description of what you expected to happen.]

I just asked HPE if when they changed the name of the certificate, did they modify it using "Modify Configuration" or "Modify Platform"? I am waiting for their reply

Hi @mreed8855, thanks for flagging. Any updates about this issue from HPE?
