@charleshuang80 the data input forms on the admin pages need to be translated. We have most labels translated in English and French in the table documentation spreadsheets: companies tables and geodata tables.

@markmcdonald51 can give you instructions on where the files are/how they are set up. But I imagine it should be pretty easy to transcribe labels once you've figured out where they're defined. The existing labels are usually the field keys. We need to replace these with their corresponding French Labels. I'll have the CC work on translating the rest tomorrow (time permitting), but in case some don't get translated, Google translate should be good enough.

In all cases, use the French label, and format the following ways:

  • capitalize all major words (not a, du, de, le, pour, d', etc.)
  • be sure to copy all accented characters
  • in cases where the type is numeric($), add a ($) after the label. e.g. Formule des Royalties à Payer ($), or Montant pour Cession d’Actif ($)
  • in cases where type is numeric(%), do the same above with (%). e.g. Teneur (%) or * Pourcentage (%)*
  • the order of the fields should match the order in the spreadsheets. e.g. for shareholder table, order is:
    • name
    • acronym
    • contact
    • website
    • stock
    • etc.

@markmcdonald51 in some of the places in the translation_fr file where there is a translation (usually for something like drc_company) there is a French translation, but the yaml file says something like :activerecord.models.drc_company. Is this a reference, and should I keep it, or do I can I replace it with the translation provided?
