I keep getting this error when I try to run CWTools on VSC.

Could not execute because the specified command or file was not found.

Possible reasons for this include:

  * You misspelled a built-in dotnet command.

  * You intended to execute a .NET Core program, but dotnet-c:\Users\*****\.vscode\extensions\tboby.cwtools-vscode-0.9.15\out\server\local\CWTools Server.dll does not exist.

  * You intended to run a global tool, but a dotnet-prefixed executable with this name could not be found on the PATH.

[Info - 12:45:47 PM] Connection to server got closed. Server will restart

I get this five times before CWTools just gives up and doesn't start. How do I fix this?

My specs are

  • Windows 11 64bit

  • Extension version 0.9.15

Trying to run this for Stellaris

Update: I've stopped getting this error, and now the extension refuses to run at all, except for the first mod I used it on, any other mod causes it not activate, as the "[exthost] [info] ExtensionService#_doActivateExtension tboby.cwtools-vscode, startup: false, activationEvent: 'onLanguage:stellaris'" is only found in that mod's extension host output log.
