There are many times that an older systematic/colloquial name for a compound provides a successful page of identifiers on OPSIN. Would it be possible to respond also with the current IUPAC name? This would allow users to know that they are both valid names for the compound and allow definitive IUPAC names to be stored in user systems.
If this can be provided, an additional request would be to provide all variants of a compounds name that are valid from an IUPAC naming perspective. Might be difficult and/or slow to do but would also be very useful.
