  • Operating System: Linux, Android
  • Delta Chat Version: Desktop 1.46.7, Android 1.46.13
  • Expected behavior: No verified 1:1 chats are created for new members in a verified group if they are new contacts.
  • Actual behavior: Such chats are created sometimes
  • Steps to reproduce the problem:
    • Alice adds you to a verified group.
    • (maybe some messages are sent in the group)
    • Alice adds Bob (who is a new contact for you) to the group.
    • Check the chatlist, you may find there a new chat with Bob with the only system message "Messages are guaranteed to be end-to-end encrypted from now on. Tap to learn more."

It doesn't happen always, just sometimes. That time i had 3 such chats on my Desktop and only 2 (a subset) on Android. Now i tried to reproduce it with my Gmail account and test nine accounts, but didn't succeed with that :/ Maybe it makes sense to just check the code with eyes.
