Suggestion

Some type of information to introduce pirates and how to evaluate their power and how to defeat them.

Use Cases

To make sense of this seemingly overpowered report for a regular pirate and what to do with it.

Even visiting the wiki it gives a glossing/generic overview that seems to indicate players should be able to defeat Pirates by a players self and Elite Pirates in a group.

However as in the above screen shot that is similar for every normal pirate, they seem vastly overpowered for a regular player. If Pirates are supposed to be level-linked, maybe that should be indicated instead?

Wiki will be updated with new information about the pirate strength, it has been a recent change to have the pirates linked to the strength of the nearby players, therefore you will find various fleet amounts on every pirate you spy, I will also add that pirates have 0 technology levels in the wiki page.

As @Daniel-Cooper-D02an mentioned it, updating the wiki is a good way to provide such informations quickly. But we'll address it to the new client to avoid to leave the game to get them.

Following text added to wiki-

Pirates are a reflection of the strength of the players around them, if you are in a busy area you may need to spy further away to find a pirate of your own strength level, pirates work in large numbers rather than their intelligence and therefore have 0 technological advancements meaning their ships will always be weaker than your own, using the spy report and the information from the fighting system page you can work out if you are worthy of victory.

He has already provided lip service for the request and closed it without action.

It is becoming clear that informing new players with methods that allow a quick introduction and consumption so they can adopt, enjoy, and feel engaged with certain mechanics is not desired.

If more details are provided in the client in the future, player retention will increase as will player base engagement.

If the priate power is truly linked to the most powerful player in a system, it is suprising there are no complaints yet as it discloses details about that players power without spying or having the capability to spy that player.

Pirate information and estimation is inconsistent with stated power approximations.

pirate-perOne+6

3 single player systems of various power and one 6 player system for comparison

pirate power is calculated from the strength of players in the surrounding systems and not just the one they are in so will not always be on par with the single system they inhabit

... does anyone under 1k power even bother trying to attack pirates? Obviously level 40 and under can not based on the 4 systems I posted above.

Edit: I mean it is already restricted to 5 per day, why make them impossible unless you are in the top 10?

There are weaker pirates about, you just need to search, like these ones
