Link to a subprocess

I need some help in creating a expanded subprocess in Activiti Modeler 5.6. 
After dropping the collapsed subprocess on the task, there is a collapsed 
subproces sign +. 

There is another process diagram which should be displayed as a subprocess when 
I click on the + sign, how do I do this? I have been through the Guide and it 
is still not clear to me. When I click on the + sign it opens another windows 
with the same diagram, but without the + sign.
