Kibana version: 7.5.2

Elasticsearch version: 7.5.2

Server OS version: CentOS Linux release 7.4.1708 (Core)

Browser version: Chrome Version 79.0.3945.130 (Official Build) (64-bit)

Browser OS version:

Original install method (e.g. download page, yum, from source, etc.): yum

Describe the bug: Identical to #18296 just a different character, a dot (.)

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Use the API to create a watch with an ID that contains a dot
  2. Find the watch in the UI table and click Edit
  3. Try to make and save changes to the watch

A validation error stating: ID can only contain letters, underscores, dashes, and numbers.
