I noticed a refresh issue with whether the expanded document view for one of the documents in the preview was open during a search or not. If it was, there doesn't seem to be a refresh in terms of highlighting.

I bet you this is a side effect of this more general issue #3430 or at least related

Looks like I was wrong, I was able to fix #3430 but it didn't resolve this issue.

this is a sticky bug, still valid, needs to be resolved
