Like chrome does on windows. This might be impossible.

I think it might be possible to turn on do not disturb which seems like a sane solution to me

yea, that seems like a thing people should do, though for people like me who forget, it's nice that chrome automatically said "Notification contents are hidden while you are screen sharing"

I meant that we might be able to turn on the OSes do not disturb mode which would hide notifications from other apps as well
