Would it be good if there were translations? If so, where should we start?

The application itself is translatable. We would just need to add the appropriate translations.

However, the application list descriptions are coming from a conf file so those won't be part of the translations.

That being said, I wonder if there is already a source of translated package descriptions somewhere?

I can do some research on package info translations.. could be the case indeed

arch does not provide translated info i think as of something like pacman -Qi packagename will show always default english info.
Ubuntu does?
