I want to disable the quick setting's display in user menu, but keep

at top bar, because i think the timer sometime is useless but the top bar icon is always useful

Hi, I'm not sure about this feature in caffeine. If you want to jut hide the button inside the QuickSettings menu, you should use an dedicated app/extension like Quick Setting Tweaker : https://extensions.gnome.org/extension/5446/quick-settings-tweaker/.
It's doing exactly what you're looking for.

It might be worth adding as a setting if it's a simple code change, but if it's going to add to the complexity, the perhaps the other extension is a better solution (as I'm sure this is a common request for extensions, so 1 extension to hide the tiles is probably better than everyone implementing another setting).

But it doesn't seem worth installing a complicated extension for a simple feature (that extension is too complex and the default configuration changes a lot of things). Adding an option to this extension might be a better way to go, and someone should need such a feature too.
