Currently we have the "-c X" switch in "ddisp project create" which instructs the project to extract X from the file metadata and deliver it with the response to "ddisp worker next". The proposal is to also also allow metadata from a dataset to be added to the response. I see the same effect can be achieved with two lines of script: 1) extract the metadata from the dataset, 2) in the create project add the metadata with the "-A" switch to project create. The only issue here is that I believe POMS will probably only allow a string to define the user switches to the project create command. This works for file metadata, but not the two lines required to get the dataset metadata.
This is not a high priority and may not be needed, depending on how things develop. If we get things running well without, we can cancel this Issue.
