Saying 'yes' for unique resource for a specific processes asks again what executor to use? #9

I don't really see why you would be changing scheduler for a specific process...

I would rather drop that question going through that workflow (unless you know of cases otherwise!)

This is relevant for processes that may require unique resources not available on standard queues. Relevant scenarios include a process that requires:

  • External network access where standard work queues don't have external access for security purposes
  • GPUs rather than CPUs for computation e.g. using Parabricks fq2bam for very fast mapping
  • Speedy data transfer for upload/download only available on dedicated queues
