What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Install 64-bit Python
2. Try to install psutil using the Windows installer

What is the expected output?

What do you see instead?
I would expect it to find python, but it finds nothing, and I can't override.

What version of psutil are you using? What Python version?
psutil 0.2.1, Python 3.2 (64 bit)

On what operating system? Is it 32bit or 64bit version?
Windows 7. I installed Python 32 bit and the psutil installer finds it just fine.

Please provide any additional information below.
I also added the Python folder to my system path, in case that matters.

The provided 64-bit installer you see in the download section is for 64-bit
versions of Python *2.7*, not 3.2.
We are currently not providing a 64 bit installer for Python 3.2.

I am having the same issue. Are there plans to have a 64 bit windows version
for pythong 3.2?

I'm going to reopen this as a reminder for provding the 64 bit installer for
python 3.2. I'm not sure when though, as I have to reinstall VS 64 bit version
from scratch and that usually takes a lot of time and curse.

Is it possible we can get an x64 installer for python version 2.6? It's such a
pain having to install VC just to install one python module, and doesn't seem
like it'd take that much effort to make.

I'm about to release 0.4.0 version and I will also provide 3.2 installer for
64-bit Windows versions.
