Edit your blog's theme template through the admin panel, using Liquid syntax.

To edit the theme now, I have to fork the repo and hack hack hack, oder?

Yes, I'm afraid. You can grab the liquid branch to check out the current work in progress re the new themes, but be warned that stuff is very much in motion there (it's liquid -- haha!).

My emotions right now are a dangerous mixture of fear and lust. Change is very sexy.

Oh, actually, my last response was kind of a lie; you don't need to fork. Instead, create a subdirectory called views inside your host application. Any files in there will override the corresponding file inside the gem's lib/views/ directory. I don't recommend putting too much effort into this, though, since most of the stuff will shift around a lot over the next couple of versions.

that is good news.
I'm sure my edits will transfer well.
Super looking forward to using this.
