Converting Temperatures without using deg and using ºC or C

Would it be possible to use the evaluate("30ºC to ºF") instead of having to do evaluate("30degC to degF")

Is this some kind of limitation?

You can override the math.parse.isAlpha function with a wrapper that also accepts the degree character º or ° as valid character. After that you can define a new unit like math.createUnit('º', '1 deg').

EDIT: you also have to update math.Unit.isValidAlpha (see comments below).

I'm probably doing the overwrite portion wrong, not sure, but I get an error when trying:

math.parse.isAlpha = function (char, charPrev, charNext) {
	return /^[a-zA-Zº°]$/.test(char);
};

console.log(math.parse.isAlpha("º"));

math.createUnit("º", "1 deg");

The console.log comes as true, but the console then errors with:

Oow, good point. Unit has it's own function to check what a valid alpha is, you have to override that too: math.Unit.isValidAlpha.
