Consider this after #18 .
An idea:

make main UI to delete sqlite DB files when normally exits
when a new driver is initiated, write down its physical file name in persistent config file
also write down some unique ID of the system in config file
when MAE starts, check if the last physical address(es) still exist, and ask users to recover from sqlite.
