What problem are you trying to solve?
Entering the school domain causes a lot of dumb and unnecessary network traffic.

Ideas for implementation

Validate domains
Implement debouncing and maybe some other filters (see https://developer.apple.com/videos/play/wwdc2019/712/ for inspiration)

Note to Ludwig
It is likely that I might hack something up if I find time the next few days, so don't waste your time just yet.
