CryptoPkg description:

UEFI (Unified Extensible Firmware Interface) is a specification detailing the interfaces between OS and platform firmware. Several security features were introduced (e.g. Authenticated Variable Service, Driver Signing, etc) from UEFI 2.2+ (http://www.uefi.org).
