Cannot use some buttons simultaneously

When playing OOT (Ocarina of Time) using the ParaLLEI N64 core, some combinations of buttons will not work. For example, while using the shield (R button) it is impossible to backflip (A button) or to use the sword (B button). I am playing using a connected XBOX One controller in Windows 10.

I find no such issues using an XBox360 controller.
