If I set Monitor scale to 125% (System Settings -> Display), "auto hidden" and "intelligently hidden" panels only show up on mouse hover in about 1 in 10 attempts. (Sometimes 1 in 3, sometimes 1 in 30.)
Steps to reproduce
Configure some panel to be "auto hidden" or "intelligently hidden" and set its width to 40px,
set Monitor scale to 125% (System Settings -> Display),
open and maximize some application window,
hover the mouse pointer over the edge of the hidden panel.

Bug description
If I set Monitor scale to 125% (System Settings -> Display), "auto hidden" and "intelligently hidden" panels only show up on mouse hover in about 1 in 10 attempts. (Sometimes 1 in 3, sometimes 1 in 30.)
Steps to reproduce
Expected behavior
The panel should show up as it normally does.
Additional information
Could be related to Intelligently hidden panel not restored by mouse movement consistently #11803: if, at monitor scale 125%, I change the panel width from 40px to 33px or 42px, the hidden panel shows up on every hover. However, no other value in between works.
To get the panel eventually show up, it helps to first put the mouse pointer at the edge, and then start very gently moving it away.
The same problem appears with monitor scale 75%.
I cannot reproduce the problem with monitor scales 150%, 175%, 200%.
Additionally, with all available monitor scales except 100% and 200%, when the hidden panels show up, there is a noticeable screen tearing effect.
My native screen resolution is 1920x1080.
