This looks like an awesome project to me, but I've been unable to find what license it is released under. Is py-openzwave (L)GPL, BSD, MIT or Apache? Please, do not write that it is GPL, oh please...

P.S. The same request goes to HouseAgent.

That's a very good point. I'll shoot Maarten an email message to see if we can nail down license specifics. I haven't attempted to build the project for a while, so there are likely issues that need to be addressed - OpenZWave is a pretty active project.

Are you looking for a commercial-friendly license? What's your intended use case?

Thanks. Has he responded yet?

I hate GPL because of the professional reasons. All software which becomes open in my research center department is either under BSD or Apache and I am a sort of evangelist in that area. Not really interested in any commercial application, just need to clarify the legal stuff. Me and my colleagues are fucked hard at work after license violations, so asking for terms of usage in advance has become a habit.
