federation/v1/pull/ doesn't seem to work

GET .../pull/
Query args: origin, v
Response: JSON encoding of a single Transaction consisting of multiple PDUs

Retrieves all of the transactions later than any version given by the "v" arguments.

... but that's not really enough information to make it work, and attempts to do so return a 500.
