Describe the bug
The VS Code extension (but not .NET implementation) doesn't apply any rules to .json files (it appears to be any files with type application/json as other json based formats also don't work).

This isn't obvious because the default rules don't have any json rules.

This is fixed in the latest 0.8 alpha.
