If you set "Keep Connection Open" to "No" does the error continue to occur?
Even if you fix this at the OS level, firewalls or other network systems may also terminate the connection. Therefore the possible solutions are:

At a customer of ours, using Mirth Connect 4.4.2, a channel repeatedly gets disconnected. This is the error:

To be complete: it contains a filter that is inactive.

The Failure event pops up time and again, and I need to deploy the channel to get it working - until the error occurs again.

EDIT
What I've tried is running the Mirth Connect server instead of the service and that looked promising at first, but then after an hour or so the error returned.
